TEXOMA BOATERS
The
Texas Parks and Wildlife Department is now enforcing the Texas
Clean Water Act on Lake Texoma and is inspecting boats for
compliance. If you operate a boat on Lake Texoma which is 26-feet
or longer and have permanent sleeping quarters on board, your boat
must have a marine sanitation device and be certified. If your boat
is less than 26-feet but has a marine sanitation device, it also
must be certified. To apply for your decal, please completeTCEQ-0117.
Owners will receive a decal which must be displayed on the hull
of their boat after submitting their application.

ATTN:
OWNERS OF
USCG DOCUMENTED VESSELS
Effective
January 1, 2004, all recreational vessels, shrimp boats and commercial
fishing boats 115-feet or less in length operating on Texas waters
are required to be registered with the State of Texas. Application
must be made for the appropriate two-year Texas registration and
fee paid. The application can be found at the Ships Store or on
line (PWD-143).

here. A bill of sale that includes the sales tax paid or other
acceptable tax document showing that sales tax has been paid on
the vessel is required at the time of application, along with a
copy of the current USCG Documentation Certificate and registration
fee. If sales tax has not been paid, a bill of sale or invoice showing
the date of the sale, sales price, description of the vessel and/or
outboard motor, purchaser(s) name and seller(s) signature are required.
Vessels purchased prior to October 1, 1991 are exempt from payment
of sales tax.
